Positive Ageing Journey Event
Join in on the fun and learn about how to maintain an active, healthy, connected and informed lifestyle at the 2013 Positive Ageing Journey Event and Expo.
The Positive Ageing Journey Event is being held on Monday 27th May 2013, from 9am, at the Kedron Wavell Services Club located at Chermside. Cost per person is $20 and this covers morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
The Positive Ageing Journey is an interactive and fun education event aimed at baby boomers and beyond! The emphasis throughout the day will be about positive approaches to ageing and helping people to continue to remain active, inspired and healthy. This day of educational seminars and thought-provoking presentations aims to offer attendees insights into getting the most out of life and will include topics as diverse as;
*staying connected and safe using online social media
*cooking and nutrition demonstration
*gardening advice
*maintaining active/healthy lifestyles
*maintaining an creative and healthy mind
*active ageing, active learning
*taking control of your life events and many more.
Ms Noeline Brown, Ambassador for Ageing will be providing the opening keynote presentation. Other highlights of the program will include a presentation provided by Jerry Coleby-Williams, presenter on Gardening Australia, ABC TV and a cooking and nutrition demonstration by Chef Glen Barratt, Head Chef at Restaurant II.
